Harbor Notice: Unusually Low Tide Expected Tonight
Harbor wardens in Orr are advising dockworkers, fishermen, and curious onlookers to use caution along the older piers this evening. A lower-than-usual tide is expected to expose stretches of seawall, forgotten stonework, and tidal pools rarely seen above water.
Several dockhands have already reported an unusual number of Tide Slugs gathering in pools beneath the western wharves. The creatures are generally little more than a nuisance when left alone, but barefoot waders and anyone searching the exposed rocks are advised to keep their distance.
The harbor bell will sound at the turn of the tide. Anyone venturing below the usual waterline is strongly encouraged to be back on the piers before then.
